Hey there! My name is Paloma Servin and I am from Paraguay (South America). I am on my exchange here in Denmark and I was really pleased to be assigned to Nærum Gymnasium.

The very first time I walked into the school I was impressed by the technologic and how modern the school is. But in my opinion it is not the material things or how modern the school is that make this school so special, it”™s the people in it.

Coming into a new country with another culture and language can be hard but it also takes a special kind of person to accept someone from the unknown and that is what the students in NAG did. Everyone is nice, the students, the teachers, the canteen workers, you name it

This year has been one of the most different and challenging years in my life but this year was also one of the most amazing. During the first months I needed to get used to the differences, for example the way education works here (we don”™t use computers in class), the parties and people”™s general behavior.

My class has been 2.f and during this year I really got to know them. I have so many treasured memories with them such as New York, go karting in Copenhagen and just everyday interaction. My Spanish class at NAG really helped me learn about Denmark and the language. I got to teach them about Paraguay and they did the same for me

Although I am a Latina and I will always have those traits, I now have Danish traits that are a part of me and I will take with me in whatever I do with my life

The memories and friendships I have made in my time at NAG will be with me forever.

TUSIND TAK!
